Horse Riding in Mauritius

Nestled between the sea and mountains, Cavalia is a horse lover’s haven. Beyond a riding school, we instill respect, care, and love for horses. Our offerings include riding, dressage, and show jumping lessons for all levels, a Pony Club for youngsters, and vaulting lessons blending gymnastics, dance, and horse riding.

Private rides and corporate events like team building and birthday parties are also available. Stéphanie Jauffret’s team sets high standards, ensuring Cavalia is a benchmark for equestrian enthusiasts. Fostering a family spirit, our environment welcomes all, from beginners to professionals, for skill development in a safe setting.

Cavalia’s core values include a human approach, team spirit, respect, benevolence, and discipline.

Does the horse and poney world tickle your fancy?

We have various options, ranging from the trail rides, show jumping, vaulting and dressage to name a few!

Come join us and discover the most incredible bond between humans and horses.

What are the benefits?

Riding is much more than a sport; it is the school of life.

Regardless of age, one learns respect for others and nature, self-help and autonomy that increases personal fulfilment – the horse makes you happy.

The practice of horseback riding allows one to live in the present moment and provides a moment for oneself. Beyond its physical benefits, such as the development of balance, muscle tone, and coordination, horseback riding also offers real moral benefits, allowing one to gain self-confidence, improve determination, concentration, attention, perseverance, develop a stronger mindset, and gain leadership skills to develop the ability to manage and anticipate situations.

There are many approaches to the horse – on foot, on his back, or behind him: Vaulting, dressage, show jumping, horse-ball, pony games, horse-drawn carriages and working on foot.

For the lessons, closed shoes or boots are mandatory: you can borrow a pair of boots from the club for your lesson, free of charge.

For the trails, there is no obligation, but it is still preferable to avoid flip flops especially to walk next to the horses.
